How To Lose Weight With Yoga?



To reduce weight, practise yoga as much as feasible. At least 3 to 5 times per week, for at least 1 hour, you can undertake a more active, strenuous practise. On the other days, take a more relaxing, easy session to round out your practise. Hatha, yin, and restorative yoga sessions are wonderful alternatives.


Yoga: Is it effective for weight loss?


By practicing yoga, many people have lost weight in a healthy way. Losing weight through yoga is controversial. Most people believe doing yoga alone will not lead to weight loss. It can help you lose weight while also keeping your mind and body in good shape when you combine yoga with a nutritious diet. Yoga increases your awareness of your body. You will no longer eat foods that cause you to gain weight, but will instead opt for healthy foods.


Because these positions are basic, yoga does not usually result in weight loss right away. These Yoga positions are primarily intended to improve body flexibility, concentration, and muscle tone. You will begin to practise Yoga asanas for weight loss once your body has been accustomed to these asanas.

1. Chaturanga Dandasana – Plank pose

The best way to strengthen your core is to do Chaturanga Dandasana.Its advantages are enormous, appears.despite how easy it is. Only when you're in the pose do you notice how intense it is on your abdominal muscles.


2. Virabhadrasana – Warrior pose

With the Warrior II position, you can tone your thighs and shoulders while also increasing your concentration. Your results will improve the longer you hold this position. Within a few minutes, Virabhadrasana will tighten your quads.


While strengthening your back, legs, and arms as well as improving your balance, Warriors III is a balance position. If you engage your abdominal muscles while holding the position, it will assist tone your tummy and give you a flat stomach.

3. Trikonasana – Triangle pose

The trikonasana improves digestion while also reducing fat deposits in the abdomen and waist. Blood circulation is improved throughout the body. The lateral motion in this pose helps you burn more fat around your waist while strengthening your thighs and hamstrings. This position does not cause you to shake as much as other poses, but it does provide you with the same benefits. Balance and attention are also strengthened through this pose.

4. Adho Mukha Svanasana – Downward Dog pose

5. Sarvangasana – Shoulder stand

7. Parivrtta Utkatasana – Twisted Chair pose

It is also known as the Parivrtta Utkatasana, the yoga's version of the squat. It is rigorous, toning the abdominal muscles as well as working the quadriceps and glutes simultaneously. By performing this asana, the lymphatic system and digestive system are also stimulated.

8. Dhanurasana – Bow pose
